Overview

Velas is a small village situated on the beach of Arabian sea, Ratnagiri District konkan. in past famous for selling olive Ridley turtles/ eggs to eat or pet…. but a few youngsters came together and started a mission to save the turtles, conserve the eggs and leave the baby turtles into the sea. later 1000s of people started coming to watch this journey of little ones towards the sea & Now it is called as the velas Turtle Festival!!

Your Itinerary

Day 1- Saturday

  • 10 Pm : Depart From pune

Day 2- Sunday

  • 5 to 5:30 Am : Reach Velas 1 Hours rest in bus
  • 7 Am to 8.30 am: Attend Turtle hatching event. Watch the journey of cute little turtles
  • 09:00 Am: Go to local’s Home Freshen Up and Have breakfast
  • 10 Am: Go to Bankot Fort and explore Fort
  • 11:30 Am: Depart to Ferry Point
  • 01:00 Am Reach Harihareshwar & Have Lunch
  • 02 :00 am : Harihareshwar Temple Darshan, Explore Harihareshwar Beach ,Pradakshina Marg, Honey comb structures on stone due to erosion, amazing photo point.
  • 4:30 pm: Start Return Journey
  • 9-10 pm: reach Pune
