Overview

Vasota Fort is an ancient hill fort situated at an altitude of 1171 m near Bamnoli in Satara district of Maharashtra. The fort is situated in the deep forests and valleys of Koyna Wildlife Sanctuary. Located on the banks of Shivsagar Lake, the picturesque fort is surrounded by water on all three sides.

Your Itinerary

Day 1 Saturday

  • Start Journey from Pune
  • Reach the base village 1 am
  • Bonefire
  • Camping in the tents (3/4 sharing)

Day 2 Sunday

  • Wake-up and Get freshen up (5.30 am)
  • Have breakfast and take packed lunch (6.30 am)
  • Introduction and instructions given (6.45am)
  • Boat ride towards Vasota Fort (7 am)
  • Start trekking towards Vasota Fort (9 am)
  • Reach the top and explore the fort (11.30 am)
  • Have lunch (12 pm)
  • Start descending towards boat (1 pm)
  • Return journey to campsite by Boat (3 pm)
  • Evening Tea (5 pm)
  • Return Journey (5.30)
  • Reach Pune 10 pm (Tentatively)
